Walter's tour of his farm
We mainly focus on highpark miniature cattle, a cross including highland and whitepark breeds of cattle. Our favorite look is the white hair with black, red or brown points and the shaggy hair that comes from the highland side
Our miniature cattle were imported from the mainland, so fresh genetics to the island. They’re true minis, except for Dahlia who is more midsized mini, and all of them and their calves should require less feed, be easier to handle and be easier on the land, compared to full size cows.
We don’t have any cattle for sale at this time, but future calves, if not retained, will be sold.
Lashes and Dahlia are confirmed bred, with new calves expected in winter 2024 at the earliest.
Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and/or right here on our website. We also have a notification list that we keep of folks that have expressed an interest in our miniature cattle, so if you've like to be notified of available calves, please reach out for us to add you.
Our notification list is informal, and NOT an official wait list guaranteeing the ability to purchase a calf. We retain the right to retain or sell our miniature cattle to buyers of our choosing. If you reach out to us, we'll add you to the list and attempt to notify you via the same method you reached out to us if and when we have calves for sale.
Any purchase of a calf will involve a sales contract and require the purchasers to have secure fencing, a shelter for the animal, and knowledge of their needs, including recommended supplemental feed and vaccinations schedule.
Prices will be set based on each individual calf, depending on their size, sex, confirmation and color. We expect the range to be between $5K-$15K, with the low end being a solid colored steer purely for pet purposes and the high end being a small beautifully marked heifer calf.
